Part 107 Certified

Joe Brier is a licensed, Part 107 certified pilot ... but what does that mean, exactly?

In a nutshell, a Part 107 certificate is essentially a driver's license for commercial drone pilots. The FAA requires drone pilots to pass an exam which ultimately demonstrates that the Remote Pilot in Command understands the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for flying safely. 

Ensuring that a drone pilot is licensed is THE FIRST box that should be checked when starting your aerial photographer search.
